Microcement Installers in Scotland

Seamless Surfaces. Individually Crafted.
Unico Venetian specialises in bespoke microcement installations for residential and commercial interiors across Scotland and the UK. From bathrooms and wet rooms to floors, kitchens and architectural features, each finish is developed to complement the surrounding space.

What is Microcement?
Microcement is a thin, hand-applied decorative coating that creates a continuous surface with subtle movement and texture. Bespoke colours and finishes are developed around each interior, reducing visible grout lines.
A lasting finish starts beneath the surface. We assess substrate stability and movement joints, then specify suitable preparation, reinforcement and sealing. Wet areas and floors require the right system, waterproofing, drainage and slip-resistance considerations.
Samples help establish the colour, texture and sheen. Correct curing and system-specific aftercare protect the finished surface.

Microcement — Frequently Asked Questions
Sometimes. Tiles must be sound, well bonded and suitably prepared. Grout lines, levels, cracks and substrate movement need assessment before specifying the build-up. We confirm suitability for each project.
Yes, with a system specified for the application and correctly prepared wet-area construction. Waterproofing, drainage, junctions and sealing all matter; the decorative finish does not replace the required waterproofing details.
Compatible systems can be used with suitable underfloor heating. Substrate preparation, heating commissioning, temperature changes and movement joints must follow the chosen system’s requirements.
A correctly specified floor can suit residential and commercial use. Durability depends on preparation, the system, sealing, expected wear and aftercare. It is not universally scratch-proof or crack-proof.
Follow the installed system’s aftercare guidance. Use suitable pH-neutral cleaning products and avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals and steam cleaners unless expressly approved. Protective measures and periodic sealer maintenance may be appropriate.
The programme depends on the area, substrate condition, preparation, coating stages and drying and curing requirements. We establish an appropriate schedule after assessing your project, including when the surface can be put into use.
Suitable systems can be specified for worktops, with careful detailing and sealing. Use chopping boards and heat protection, and follow advice on cleaning, staining risks and maintenance. Suitability is assessed for the intended use.
