Salmon Microcement Bathroom in Kingoodie, Dundee

This bathroom in Kingoodie, Dundee brings the walls, floor, ceiling, sink and bath together in a soft Salmon finish. Unico Venetian applied Forcrete Micro Quartz (C) to create a continuous scheme with subtle texture and the movement of a hand-applied surface.
A continuous Salmon finish
Salmon gives the room a warm, muted pink tone. The microcement runs across the walls, floor and ceiling, with recessed niches keeping everyday items within reach. Lighting inside the niches and around the mirror picks out the surface texture, while the brass fittings sit comfortably against the colour.
The finish was applied by hand, so the photographs show gentle variations in tone and texture across the room. The same colour connects the flat walls with the smaller details around the bath and basin.
The Resin Rock sink and bath
The sink and bath are Resin Rock products, which we coated with Forcrete Micro Quartz (C) in Salmon. Extending the microcement onto these pieces ties the fittings into the surrounding walls, floor and ceiling.
The rectangular basin and bath keep their original forms beneath the coating. Their clean edges sit alongside the softer movement in the finish, giving the bathroom a consistent material palette.
